The scent of lavender and patchouli gives us humans a feeling of freshness, but for mosquitoes, it's a nuisance. The scent is floral and spicy, providing a relaxing sensation that is well suited to be in the background on a warm and pleasant summer evening.

Our series of mosquito candles are made from 100% ECO-CERT wax from sunflowers and also contain the natural mosquito repellent Citrepel®. A mosquito repellent that is ECO-certified and contains a high concentration of PMD (para-menthane-3,8-diol). This is the active substance that keeps mosquitoes away and is the natural alternative to the chemical toxin DEET (diethyltoluamide) that is otherwise often found in mosquito repellents.

    Fragrance notes

    All of our insects are valuable, but some can still be a nuisance. Mosquitoes are a real nuisance for many of us. As a child mosquito bites were a plague, big and hot throbbing bites. Today, they are the reason mosquito candles exist and keep us separated without harming each other.

    Top notes:

    Light and fleeting notes of peppery lavender start the fragrance and open up to the mosquito's worst enemy.

    Heart notes:

    The heart enhances the spiciness with patchouli and red cedar.

    Base notes:

    The base has a sweet and spicy note from tonka bean, vanilla and sandalwood.

    How to refill

    Prepare the cup

    Prepare the cup

    Clean the cup you want to use. If there is wax left – pour boiling water into it, let it cool, then the wax will float to the surface. Wipe with a dry cloth.

    Melted the wax

    Melted the wax

    Remove the wick, attach it to the cup, and then close the bag tightly again. Microwave the bag at 800W for about 1 minute. Repeat for 20 seconds if more melting is needed.

    Best result

    Let the wax become cloudy before pouring it into your cup. Once you have poured the wax, center the wick so it stands straight up. Allow it to set, preferably for two days for best results.
