Jasmine Hinoki smells of soft jasmine meeting dry wood and still incense. Honeysuckle and jasmine provide a bright, almost transparent florality, while the hinoki wood keeps the scent structured and grounded. Saffron and incense add a warm, muted depth, giving the scent a ceremonial feel.

The feeling is one of ritualised stillness. Like slow movements in a quiet room, where every breath is given time. A scented candle in recycled tin that doesn't want to fill the air ⎯ but rather hold it together.

Fragrance notes

The scent brings back memories of a hot summer in Hong Kong where the honeysuckle reminded one of a Swedish summer. But it was mixed up by hinoki cypress incense and heavy notes of vanilla. The honeysuckle also brings you to the many summers as a child and you wake up on a warm sunny day, turn on the TV and watch Hajk - summer, summer and sun, the sea and the wind, a scent of honeysuckle.

Top notes:

You are met with power by notes of honeysuckle and tuberose. Spicy flowers that open the fragrance.

Heart notes:

The heart balances the heavy notes at the top with the scent of saffron and cinnamon and invites you to a warm feeling.

Base notes:

The base spreads after a while with notes of Japanese hinoki cypress and red sandalwood.

Avoid drafts

Candles do not fare well in drafts, so avoid placing your candle by an open window or near a heat source. Also remember to keep candles away from flammable materials.

Let the candle burn

Both the first time and thereafter when you light your candle, the wax should melt all the way to the edge. After that, about 3-5 hours at a time is a suitable duration.
