A summer rain has just passed. The electrical tension lingers in the air as the scent of clover fields rises from the ground ⎯ green, moist, and unexpectedly sharp. Juniper and vetiver give the scent a tart, almost mineral edge, raw yet clean, as if the air has just been reset.

The sensation is bare skin against wet asphalt. Petrichor without a romantic filter ⎯ more present, more alive. A scented candle that doesn't envelop or explain. It lingers, hits straight, and makes everything a little clearer.

Fragrance notes

I know that people have an idea that a summer rain should smell a certain way. But for me it's connected to more than just hot asphalt. As children, we often ran across fields of flowering clover near the local beekeeper's property. I mainly remember one summer when the blue sky turned into a black inferno in just minutes. It absolutely poured down and we found ourselves in the clover meadow. Barefoot we ran home and the rain whipped the clover flowers and an electric scent of hot summer and clover wafted through the air.

Top notes:

Light splashes of lime, bergamot and lemon peel open the scent. A hint of salt water appears.

Heart notes:

The heart fills the room with notes of clover and slightly spicy warm notes of basil and ozone.

Base notes:

In balance with the fresh and sour notes, the fragrance is balanced with a base of vetiver, tonka and sandalwood.

Tart

Tart scents are defined by an invigorating crispness and an immediate sense of pure energy, with vibrant notes of freshly squeezed lemon, lime, and bergamot often taking center stage. By combining the natural sharpness of citrus fruits with aromatic touches of lemongrass, green rhubarb, or crushed verbena leaves, a scent profile is created that is both refreshing and stimulating for the senses. These scents act as a natural mood enhancer in the room, as their distinct freshness effectively cuts through stagnant air and leaves behind a crisp, uplifting atmosphere reminiscent of early mornings and dew-kissed gardens.

Avoid drafts

Candles do not fare well in drafts, so avoid placing your candle by an open window or near a heat source. Also remember to keep candles away from flammable materials.

Let the candle burn

Both the first time and thereafter when you light your candle, the wax should melt all the way to the edge. After that, about 3-5 hours at a time is a suitable duration.
