Palo Santo smells of holy wood with a soft smokiness that feels clean rather than heavy. The bursera wood provides a dry, balsamic warmth that slowly unfolds, while magnolia adds a bright, almost creamy floral note that lightens the overall impression. The smoke is subtle, like embers rather than fire.

    Fragrance notes

    Bursera is called the sacred tree ("palo santo"), but for me, I don't feel it needs to have any religious meaning. The scent is a tribute to Walpurgis Night, where the smoky notes meet the floral notes of magnolia, a time when we gather, enjoy, and seize the moment.

    Top notes:

    You are immediately struck by the scent of wood and smoky notes, but also let yourself be welcomed by bitter neroli as well.

    Heart notes:

    In the heart, the notes of palo santo wood, magnolia and nutmeg open up for a more rounded fragrance.

    Base notes:

    The base has a moist and soft note from the scent of oakmoss, charcoal and cedar.

    Smoky scents carry a mystique and an archaic power reminiscent of burning campfires, incense, and charred wood. With deep notes of birch tar, tobacco, leather, and resin, a dramatic fragrance experience is created that is both challenging and deeply addictive.     Avoid drafts

    Candles do not fare well in drafts, so avoid placing your candle by an open window or near a heat source. Also remember to keep candles away from flammable materials.

    Let the candle burn

    Both the first time and thereafter when you light your candle, the wax should melt all the way to the edge. After that, about 3-5 hours at a time is a suitable duration.
